BIOGRAPHY
Claudio Del Tufo is a
professional with over ten years of experience in Information Technology with
a diverse industry background. He has acquired professional experience of
Object Oriented techniques for Analysis and Design (UML) as well as Development
(JAVA, C++) of complex software systems. He has applied his strong technical
skills to a wide variety of assignments, including business-critical
distributed system design, database design, middleware and technical
infrastructure design, commercial software evaluation and quality assurance.
Claudio has combined his strong technical, interpersonal and managerial skills
in various positions as Team Leader as well as Technical Instructor at both
corporate and university levels. In addition, he has authored a book on
Information Processing Machines, and is fluent in both English and Italian.

R&D Specialist in Programming Languages and Software Engineering
- Tested and maintained C cross-compilers for different target processors (8/16/32 bit,
Big-Endian/Little-Endian byte ordering, CISC/RISC architecture). Implementation and
porting of software tools for binary-code level analysis and debugging on host machines.
- Evaluated commercial-off-the-shelf CASE environments (IBM SDE WorkBench/6000, DEC FUSE,
HP SoftBench) with special emphasis on their support for control integration of
pre-existing tools with command-line interface.
- Collaborated on computer-aided design graphical user interfaces, using advanced ISV
packages (such as IBM AIX Interface Composer, DEC CTI), for highly interactive CLI-tools.
- Appointed as team leader for beta-testing the IBM implementation of ECMA PCTE standard
(IBM PCTE/6000), with Italtel being chosen as beta-site.
- Actively involved with Quality Support Division in the definition of the Italtel's
internal rules for C-language programming, with respect to the ISO 9000 Certification.
- Designed a database system, based on Oracle engine, for Italtel's TMN Information
Models. The overall goal was to create a common repository for all Information Models
developed by Italtel, thus improving their reusability and automate the process of
assigning Object Identifiers.
